Yakshagana (An ancient dance theatre) by Devika Dance Theatre

This immersive performance features compelling dance , drama , makeup and vibrant costumes. An exciting drama based on the mythological character Mahishasura ( A Demon) being slayed by Godess Durga depicting the victory of good over evil beautifully presented by talented performers.

Internationally-renowned dancer and choreographer Devika Rao as DURGA with

Dr Benaka Karanth as Mahishasura mahisha ("WATER BUFFALO") Sura Demon.

Dr Guruprasad Patwal and Mrs Sanjotha Rajesh as Shumba Nishumba as symbols of arrogance and pride which is ultimately overcome by the Devi's humility and wisdom.

Mahishasura Mardini is the incarnation of Goddess Durga who had taken birth to kill the asura king Mahisasura.
